CMAT 2027: Key Exam Highlights
Important Dates
- Check your CMAT 2027 result (once declared) on the official NTA website: https://cmat.nta.nic.in
- The CMAT application form is usually released in October – November (the 2026 cycle opened on 17 October 2025; CMAT 2027 dates to be announced).
- The CMAT exam is conducted in January – February (2026 cycle: 25 January 2026; CMAT 2027: 7 February 2027, tentative per the NTA exam calendar).
- CMAT results are usually declared in February – March, a few weeks after the exam.
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to management programmes in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Exam Pattern
- The CMAT is a computer-based test (CBT) of three hours duration.
- The exam is divided into five sections:
- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation (20 questions)
- Logical Reasoning (20 questions)
- Verbal Ability (20 questions)
- General Awareness (20 questions)
- Innovation and Entrepreneurship (20 questions)
- Each question carries 4 marks, and there is no negative marking.
Preparation Tips
- Thoroughly review the CMAT syllabus and exam pattern.
- Practice solving previous year CMAT question papers and mock tests.
- Focus on strengthening your weaker areas.
- Manage your time effectively during the exam
